The year was 2004. Video games were starting to make their presence felt across almost everyone’s home around the world as both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox entered their 4th and 3rd year respectively. The landscape of video games and licensing has changed, but the thirst for a college basketball video game has only risen. Some would argue a college basketball game appeals to a niche audience, but I am about to prove that to be false.

Bryce Cotton catches the inbound and watches the clock tick above the backboard. With four seconds he makes a quick move right and takes a step back three for the win....and its good. The crowd lets out a loud gasp and the Friars celebrate ... Read More

IGN just wrote an interesting article about what innovations are wanted for the next generation of consoles.
http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1215366p1.html
In my opinion sports games are in need of next generation graphics and not other innovations mentioned in the article. In order for sports games to make that next leap they are in need of new collision systems and realistic movements. No more skating football players and poor AI. New engines for these games are ... Instead of writing a blog or making comments complaining about Madden and hoping for them to fix the next years version, I am going to tell you the sad true story of how Madden made me so happy then disappointed me like child on Christmas morning with no presents.
I was playing my third game of the year in Year 3 of my franchise with the Seattle Seahawks. I was playing the San Francisco 49ers and I was on the march to score at their 11 yard line. Matt Barkley my solid 2nd year QB from ... Read More

For years I have been playing sports games and for the past few I have found my self entangled in this web of trying to figure out whether or not 2k or EA were putting out their best efforts and which company actually has actually done the best job. Everyone has their opinions and this is why this website is so great because we all tell these companies how we really feel. In my opinion the argument of which of these two companies has done a more admorable job is simple just consider these thoughts. ... Read More

1. MLB 2k10 - Since I am a 360 guy I do not have the show, but unlike many I found this game really enjoyable. Of course there are a bunch of things wrong with it, but I played this game for months without getting bored. I played one game of every series for the Baltimore Orioles for three years which is a lot of games if you didn't already know. Hopefully the game will improve for next Spring.

This will show a game by game description as I play as Providence College. I have decided to pick up where the season is now and have all game results up top this point as is.
