So long Kurt, thanks for the memories

My football idol is Kurt Warner. He took the mantle back in the 1999 NFL season from my childhood hero Eric Dickerson. Warner's story is often told, routinely brought up when discussing this certain Hall of Famer. But I digress, this is not the point of the blog entry I am writing.

It's Friday afternoon here in Australia, the weather is hot and humid, an evening of thunder storms assured. My weekend is wide open, I will for the first time since the Christmas holidays get some time to myself. Priceless. I will get in a morning surf on Saturday and Sunday, I will read the morning papers as I routinely do. I will go for a run, hit the gym and make a start on one of the five books I got over Christmas. The weekend is looking good.

But, with all that to look forward too, perhaps the thing I am most looking forward to doing is this: starting my Arizona Cardinals franchise - A TRIBUTE TO KURT WARNER. I want to invest the time and effort in to one or two seasons saying farewell to the guy I will tell stories about as an old man reliving the past glories of my St Louis Rams.

The thread will be located here and I would love to have some readers following. I don't have the time to put in the hours of some of our younger members at OS, but the thread will hold it's own.

Kurt Warner scared me, especially when my Colts played him. He should and will be in the Hall of Fame. I can't fathom the stats he would've had if he was actually given a chance right out of college. One of the best.

Thats the man straight from the Iowa Barnstormers. The arena league is back with them as a team (I am sure it wont be long before he gets into the franchise somehow). Plenty of NFL talent/owners have been involved in the arena league. AF1 coming this summer so pumped... sucks they took my LA team out tho.
