My Sports Gaming Holiday Wishlist

When you have kids in Kindergarten the hot topic is THE Wishlist. I am going to apply that to my sports game addiction. Feel free to post your own.

1) Joey Votto is named cover athlete for MLB: The Show 11. Red. MVP. Rising star. Gamer, in the sense that he plays his sport to win.

2) It's second, but it's a high priority. A meaningful gameplay patch for FIFA 11. I intend to go into greater detail in my next blog entry. This game is so close to being right.

3) File this under Christmas in July. NCAA Football 12 is released with the following improvements:
a. better special teams
b. better option game
c. improved "college" QBs...study the option wizards, the scramblers, the dual threats, and the ones who struggle to play at even the collegiate level. Of the 120 major college programs, there are a handful that have pro prospects. Every year, in EA's world, they are all clones, with mechanics, attributes, and mo-cap straight out of Madden.
d. Create-A-Playbook
e. more cleats

4) A couple of fixes for Gran Turismo 5:
a. damage in offline mode
b. better opponent AI
c. more tunes! Japanese clones of 80s smooth jazz is giving me road rage!

5) Drop the suggested retail for all Next Gen console games to $49.99. If Obama and the House Republicans can compromise, developers can cut prices, and see sales increase! How's that for economic stimulus?
