Detroit came into game 6 knowing that if they lose its over, all there success in the regular season was for nothing.
Things didnt start out how they wanted, Buffalo took a 1-0 lead 6mins in. Tyler Ennis scored his 8th goal
In the 2nd period Detroit turned up the pressure, they would get 3 straight goals to take a 3-1 lead. 2 mins after they took a 2 goal lead ex-wing Dan Cleary would cut that lead back down to 1 with his 4th goal of the playoffs.
3rd period started and Wings just had to hold the lead for 20 more mintues. But just 33 seconds into the 3rd period Tomas Vanek would tie the game at 3.
Game 6 would go into overtime. In overtime just like in game 5 the Wings would get the game winner. In game 5 Datsyuk would get 2 goals to tie that game. In game 6 he would score the overtime winner.

Series now tied at 3, Game 7 will be back in Detroit
