Leino's game winner gives Buffalo lead in series

No lead was safe in this game. Detroit would go up 1-0 midway thru the 1st when Filppula put home his 5th of the playoffs. That lead stood until 5mins into the 2nd period. Roy put home his 6th of the playoffs to tie the game. 4 mins later pest Clutterbuck would give the Sabres a 2-1 lead with his 1st goal. Detroit would tie the game on Eaves 1st goal in these playoffs. Miller was busy trying to clear his crease when Regher fired a shot that hit Eaves and went into an open net.

In the 3rd period Peter Regin found the back of the net for a 3-2 Wings lead. Things were looking good for5 Detroit until Buffalo's Jason Pominville found the back of the net with 50 secs left in the game.

In overtime Leino would find the puck after a scrabble and failed clear by Detroit in front of their net. Leino found the corner of the net for his 4th goal of the playoffs and the game winner.
