Its incomplete as far as some of the starting overalls and type of player. i will fill that in later when i am at home.
Draft notes:
During draft day the Wings made 2 trades
1st trade seen Johan Franzen and the Wings 2013 1st rd pick go to Florida for their 2013 1st rd pick (9th overall).
2nd trade sent Joanthan Ericsson to Columbus for their 2013 3rd rd pick.
Now it looks like i may have struck out with the 9th overall pick in Colin Smith all C's in potential. but i may have found a couple good players later on like Yury Mikihnov (29th) and Anthony Verret (210th). we will see how they progress.
it will be interesting to see how this Ronnie Card progress. If he can progress to where he can play i wanna see a line with him (6' 6") and Grenier (i think is 6' 6" as well) on it LOL

At the draft the Wings pulled off 2 trades that seen Johan Franzen and Jonathan Ericsson find new homes.
There were rumors after the playoffs that the team was looking to maybe move Franzen. He didnt have a great playoff after a great regular season where he finished with 36 goals. He finished the playoffs with only 4 goals and would see time on the bench during the Western Conferance Finals.
Ericsson seen his ice time cut drastically during the season. With the play of 18yo rookie Ryan Murray, Ericsson and Kindl found themselves battle for precious ice time. The team decided that Ericsson was expendable considering his age and contract price compared to Kindl's.

Redwings Update from Mlive:
Talking out of Detroit is that the agents for Brendan Smith and Valtteri Filppula are in talks with Gm Ken Holland about new contracts. Filppula currently is a UFA and the team has a short window to get him signed before he hits the open market. Filppula finished the season with 36 goals which tied Johan Franzen for the team lead.
Brendan Smith is a RFA and this was his 1st season in the NHL. At one point of the season he was the teams leading scorer among the dmen. He ended the season with 26pts good for 4th among the teams blueliners.
Filppula could be looking for a big contract and the team is way under the cap currently. We will see where these negotitions go with both players.
The team still has pending UFA Robyn Regher in need of a contract. The team will need to decide what they want to do. They may wait and see what happens with Filppula and Smith before they decide their next course of action.
Detroit-- Gm Ken Holland announced today that the team has reached contract agreements with Brendan Smith and Valtteri Filppula.
Smith re-signed for 3yrs/ $2m
Filppula gets 2yrs/ $5.15m
Quote:We are very happy too keep both players here in Detroit. Filppula had by far his best season and Smith is looking at a bigger role for us on the blueline this year-Ken Holland
