Detroit completes comeback
Posted on February 20, 2012 at 11:30 PM.

Game 7 in Detroit, the Wings and Sabres knew it was down to 1 and down. The Sabres came out on fire, aided by 9 penalties, they would fire 16 shots in the 1st period. Another 13 shots in the 2nd period while the Wings only managed 12 total shots in that time span. But it was the Redwings who got on the board.

Darren Helm and Patrick Eaves 3rd line grinders would be the ones leading way for the Wings. Midway thru the 2nd Helm would put home his 3rd of the playoffs. 4 mins later Eaves would push the lead to 2-0 with his 2nd goal of the playoffs.

In the 3rd Buffalo would again get a early goal. Almost 2mins in Cal Clutterbuck would find the top corner past a screened Howard. But that would all that Buffalo would get. Howard and the team would shut the door on the Sabres and Henrik Zetterberg would get a empty net goal.
