The Redskins have claimed DE Doug Worthington off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Worthington was drafted back in the 7th-round of 2010 by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has spent time on both the Steelers and Bucs practice squads, but has never appeared in a regular season game.
He played at Ohio State where he helped the Buckeyes a top ten rush defense. Reportedly, the Detroit Lions and Steelers also put in a waiver bid for Worthington, but was awarded to Washington.
