The Washington Redskins have placed starting HB Clinton Portis on the Reserve/Injured List.
Portis who has been plagued by a groin injury, has rushed for 227 yards on 54 carries with 2 TDs. He was hoping to revitalize his career with new coach Mike Shanahan.
This is the second straight season where Portis has landed on IR.
