Redskins Send 2 to IR, Add RB

The Washington Redskins have placed S Anderson Russell and HB Chad Simpson on the Injured/Reserved List.

Russell, an undrafted free agent, was signed two weeks ago due to the injury of S Chris Horton. Russell suffered a knee ligament injury during the first quarter of the 19 - 16 victory at Tennessee.

Simpson, hurt his foot in warm-ups before the Tennessee game. He was signed one month ago for his special team ability. He has either been inactive or injured.

The team has also signed HB James Davis. Davis a second-year played out of Clemson signed to the Redskins' Practice Squad after being released by the Cleveland Browns.
