The Washington Redskins have announced the HB Larry Johnson was been released. He was signed during the off-season to a 3-Year, $12 Million deal. The $12 million was incentives.
He was expected to come in and spell HB Clinton Portis frequently, and even push for a starting job. This comes as Mike Shanahan was praising competition.
Johnson was impressive during the team's OTA's, Mini-Camp, and Training Camp; but was unable to impress during the preseason and regular season.
He had just 5 carries for 2 yards in the 2 games he played.

I called this move from my seats in section 412 as soon as he ran backwards for 10 freaking yards! Completely lost the mommentum when this happened. Big Dumby
