CUBS LOSE OPENER TO MIAMI AND END UP LOSING THE SERIES 1-2

It was a tough loss for the Cubs as they had so many chances and left what seemed like a million men on base. Springer got CS with the game on the line in the 9th and the whole teams confidence went out with that. The cubs now sit at 4-2 after winning game 2 10-4 and losing game 3 5-3.

Week 1 Update: Pitching: Hey guys, the pitching here has not been great in week 1, never giving up less then 3 runs, and giving up 9+ runs twice. Allen Webster had a strong first outing then came back with a rough one giving up 10 ERs. Chris Heston hasn't been looking pretty either, with a 4.50 ERA. But Erik Surkump, another SP fighting for a rotation spot, has a 1.80 ERA and is pitching fantastic. Alex Wood, and Jose DeJusus, also fighting for spots, are also doing well, with a 1.80 ERA ... "Hello everyone and welcome to Cubs TV! Today we have the very own cubs writer and analyst, Mr. John Crow!"
"Thank you, thank you everyone!"
"Hello Mr. Crow, how are you today?"
"I'm doing just fine, you?"
"Doing fine as well, but lets get to why you're here. What do you think of the Cubs offseason?"
"I think it was fantastic, they got all they're key components back, although they did lose Travis Wood. Rizzo is now locked in for 7 years, and top prospects Brett Jackson, ... Read More

As the offseason begins, the Cubs have some work to do. They have a vacant spot at hitting coach, and fired their pitching coach. Though they quickly hired men, making Robin Hancock there hitting coach for 3 years, and Terry Collins the pitching coach for 3. The Cubs have retained most of their players, including Jorge Soler, (all A POT players, and all B POT prospects) and also have signed Rizzo to a 7 year, 20 MIL deal(hahahaha so cheap!)

After July:

"Theo, how do you feel about the trades you've made?"
"I feel pretty good about them and I think we will be a real competitor in a few years"
"Was it hard trading all those guys, especially 7 year Cub Alfonso Soriano"
"It's always hard, but it was best for the team, so we had to do it"

July: The Trading month

With Soriano on the trading block he has been rumored to Pittsburg, LAA, and the Giants, ... Read More
