This game turned out to be tougher than I had hoped for. I tried to get Monta Ellis going early to no avail. He shot a horrid 4-15 from the field at the half. The third quarter was owned by Brandon Jennings. He started it off by forcing Kyrie Irving to lose the handle and finished with a nice slam on the other end. Monta Ellis stripped Alonzo Gee the next Cavs' possession which lead to a Brandon Jennings pull up 3. After another empty trip for Cleveland, Brandon Jennings buried another 3 off the hard screen from Ekpe Udoh. A couple trips down the floor later, Jennings completed a nice reverse layup after crossing over on the baseline. He was on fire. Mike Dunleavy got involved from distance. After the 3rd quarter was over, I had busted the game wide open after knocking in 6 3s in the period. The 4th quarter was a battle of point guards. Kyrie Irving came out firing on all cylinders. Brandon Jennings continued to make the Cavs defense pay when utilizing the pick and roll. The Cavs had a cut a 14 point deficit down to 6 with 1:51 remaining. However they would get no closer than that. Following a timeout Monta Ellis triumphed a terrible shooting night by knocking in a corner 3 and fading mid-range jumper. Irivng hit another 3, I quickly pushed the ball up the court with Ellis who managed to find a wide open Udoh underneath the basket. Ellis finished with 23 on 10-31 shooting. Jennings had put up 27 points, 9 assists, and 5 steals.
