As you may have heard if you have been reading the Madden forums, there is a problem with UDFA (Undrafted Free Agents). Computer controlled teams are cutting their 1st and 2nd round picks to keep these very low rated players on their team. Well until this gets patched up I really don't feel like starting my franchise and dealing with this problem. So until then there will be a delay on me posting anything about my franchise. Sorry about the inconvenience.

The lockout is ended and football is on the horizon. For the Philadelphia Eagles their time is now. The city of brotherly love is aiming for the top, and being the team to beat this season.
The Eagles took part in a free agent crusade in the shortened off-season. Picking up key players in Cullen Jenkins, Jason Babin, Nnamdi Asomugha, Vince Young and a few others. Although these additions might look impressive on paper, we all know how this strategy has played out for other teams. It was the Miami Heat who recently lost in there championship game after they picked up big name free agents.
With all these pickups the Eagles still have many glaring weaknesses. A young and inexperienced linebacking corps. A very questionable offensive line. A rookie punter and kicker. And on top of all that, a new defensive coordinator that hasn't called a defensive play yet in the NFL.
Even though there are these negatives there are still positives for the Birds. No quarterback controversy due to Kolb's departure to Arizona, and Vick getting his long term contract. The explosive offense that put up big numbers last year, is coming back this year with very little changes. Shady McCoy seems to be coming in to his own, and looking like a top level back in the league.
A daunting amount of pressure is placed on Philadelphia this season. The team looks to be going "All In' this season. Nothing less then perfect could really put long time Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid on the hot seat. The Eagles will open their season in St. Louis to take on the Rams.
