NBA 2K12 My Player PG: Rookie Showcase, Pre-Draft, & Draft

Started "My Player" mode on NBA 2K12. I chose to create a 6'4 3point Specialist from MIZZOU ( toss up between MIZZOU and UNC). Now before I start on the uniqueness of this particular player let me tell you my frustrations with this mode.

First of all this is probably my 5 or 6 CAP. The first 2 I started were apart of the TERRIBLE trade logic time, so i went ahead and deleted those. The other CAPs I've created KEPT becoming corrupt, so now I think I've figured out some workarounds I decided to restart the mode.

Rookie Showcase:
During the rookie showcase I wanted to score AND assist, those were my only goals. In all the other My Players I've started, I've never looked to assist to my teammates I ONLY wanted to score. I remember back in 2K10 and early 2K11 when your teammates were liabilities so that thought process ended up carrying over. STATLINE : 25 pts 2 rebs 5 asts 2 stls 1 blk 1 to

Pre - Draft Interviews:
I was interviewed by the Sacramento Kings (7), Detroit Piston (8), and Charlotte Bobcats (9). Now, I've experimented with the the whole tanking the interview questions and falling in the draft to see how far I would slide. The downside to that comes every 2 weeks on payday, when you realize you aren't making enough money to purchase ANYTHING with your first few checks. So, when it was time to answer questions I answered them with 'suck up" answer to boost my profile to get drafted higher.

Draft:
Since every team that interviewed me said they would be ecstatic if I were still available when it was their team turn to pick, needless to say I was pretty anxious to see where I would be drafted. Ronnie (2K's social person) said the highest he's been drafted was 4th, so that was a little motivation but it also let me know top 3 wasn't a realistic goal. Drafted: 7th overall Sacramento Kings

Hmm, nice My Player. I had an A+ Teammate grade, 27 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals, and 1 turnover in the showcase. I have a 3pt specialist pg 6'2", and i was interviewed by the bobcats, jazz, and suns. I was drafted by the bobcats. I wonder if I'll be able to be drafted any lower if i suck up to teams like you did, though i did a proffesional response every time...

If you want to be drafted lower you need to bomb the questions but if your trying to bomb to get into the 2nd rd; it not possible. I had one player who had 44 turnovers and "F" teammate grade and I was drafted 26th (I think) by the Mavericks

I was drafted 6th by Washington Wizards, highest I ever got and the only notable stat I had was 33 points and 60% shooting, other than that, I didn't have many assist, rebounds, steals or blocks.

@# 4 NYCKn1cks7, use any fast shot. I personally use release 71 jump shot 21. It is pretty fast. Also, on a different My Player, I use release 52 jump shot 32, it works when im open

thank for the tip guys i was wondering do you play all of the games or just the key games?

@NYCKn1cks7 I'm playing all of the games right now because I don't trust my CAP's abilities (other than his shooting). He's a PG with a GREAT 3 point and consistency rating, so I doubt he'll try to be a distributor to the rest of the team.
