The Pirates announced the following roster moves today:



Recalled from AAA - Indianapolois


Justin Wilson struggled in the beginning of the season for the Pirates, but after putting up impressive numbers in AAA, Wilson should step in just fine for a struggling Tony Watson. In AAA, Wilson pitched 13 innings, allowing 8 hits, walking 9, while striking out 10. Wilson compiled a 2.77 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP.


Felix Pie was tearing the cover off the ball in Spring Training, but wasn't able to make the club. With an injury to Jose Tabata, and Jerry Sands not performing up to expectations, Felix Pie looks to show management that he should've made the team from the beginning. After 45 games in AAA, Pie hit 6 home runs and collected 20 RBI's, while earning a .308 AVG and a 1.000 Field%.





Optioned to AAA - Indianapolis


After Justin Wilson was optioned to AAA earlier in the year, Tony Watson took over as the lone lefty in the Pirates pen. But Watson continued to struggle, allowing timely hits and huge runs, costing the Pirates games. In his time in the majors this season, 14.1 innings to be exact, Watson allowed 19 hits, walked 2, and struck out 14. Watson compiled a 5.02 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP.
