ALTOONA - Francisco Liriano made his second start for the Altoona Curve, going up against the Akron Aeros. Liriano had another impressive outing, going 7.1 IP, while allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6, getting him to a 2.34 ERA. After his start, the Pirates announced that Liriano will be promoted to AAA-Indianapolis.
Brian Wilson debuted for the Altoona Curve in relief for Francisco Liriano. Wilson showed signs of rust as he lasted 1 inning, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 2. Wilson's ERA is at 18.00.
