Pirates Promote SS Alen Hanson

#3 Prospect in Organization Promoted


ALTOONA - The Pittsburgh Pirates and their Double-A affiliate, the Altoona Curve, have announced the promotion of the #3 prospect in the organization, SS Alen Hanson.

Hanson will immediately step in to replace SS Gift Ngoepe who hasn't provided much of an offensive threat for the Curve. Gift played in 17 games, compiling a .115 AVG, including 4 RBI, 3 BB, and 17 K’s.
