Just played a game with the adjustments I made and had another close game.
The defense saved me, creating four turnovers - but the offense was hit-and-miss all day. Threw an INT with Flacco (who had a bad day all around) that went for a TD.
It was ugly for the offenses but the Ravens won 25-17. Ravens kicked SIX field goals.
Just like in the real game, the Bengals had the ball with the last chance to win it and, just like the real game, needed a TD. No cardiac cats this time though. Pryce got a strip sack (his 3rd sack on the drive after having NONE up to that point) to seal it. The Bengals recovered the fumble, but it was 4th down so it didn't matter.
As far as the stats, the CPU running game was too easy to stop for the most part. Benson did nothing. They did get a few sizable runs (10-15 yds) but most of the time it wasn't much. I increased the run blocking for the AI to 70 and they started getting more steady 3-5 yd runs and putting a 5 minute FG drive together.
Debating on what to do for the human run game. Rice just seems stuck on 3.8 ypc. Hard time getting him to the 4.5-5.0 ypc he has in real life while McGahee seems to be getting the big runs. He had the TD on a 56 yd run. Maybe it's more breaking tackles - backs are getting brought down on first contact too often.
Rice only had 17 carries but was tired - hmm...maybe the 100 fatigue thing isn't working well after all. Or maybe I have the sub in/out for the DL too high. I should let them get more tired. I might just go to 70 fatigue and see how that works.
I also am trying to throw more as the Ravens. Have to remember they are opening it up for Flacco and 35-40 attempts is no longer out of the question. I threw it 30 times in this game.
I think I'm going to lower FG accuracy. I don't think Huschka is capable of making six FG in a game. The downside is the AI will also get less accurate (WHY EA? WHY COMBINE THE ST SLIDERS?)
Right now, here's how the sliders are looking:
