I just discovered this story too. I don't understand why they don't release an unlicensed game with an awesome creation suite and we can let the community create players, teams, jerseys and conferences.

This is not surprising. I got all of the add-ons to this year's game from day 1 (including the 120 teambuilder slot) because I know I'll be playing this for a long time. Roster makers unite!
