I think we just have to think about what's going on in sport games. There's a lot of talking about realism, expectations and all that comes with playing a videogame. I tend to agree with people loving presentation. Many of us actually play some sport. I play tennis (totally amateur, of course) but the majority of sports game fans DON'T.
The point is. I don't want to play a sport. I want to play a videogame portraying a sport. That's why I prefer a good presentation, stat overlay full, tv style and logos game instead of a MLB The Show no matter how good the gameplay it has. I want to see the CBS-ESPN double presentation of NCAA basket 10. NHL 11 and MLB The Show 11 have great depth, but after few games I just find'em NOT real. When I watch a game on TV there's not all that noise, all that "plastic" perfection.
So yes, I want PRESENTATION to be the best quality in a sport game. So, good commentary, good crowd, highlights and so on. Gameplay is important, obviously, but make us watch at a truculent horror movie is the presentation (blood, screams and pain) and not the reality of a stab. People played Madden istead of 2k football because of real teams, venues and some presentation. I know 2k had a better gameplay. I play PRO YAKYUU SPIRIT (baseball) because it's what you see on tv. I know gameplay is important, but it will never be perfect. Presentation could be close to perfection, a replica of what we see every day on our favorite sport channels. I just hope I can see every time good presentation. You will never replicate the movement and the weight of a basketball during a three pointer, but you can replicate the trajectory and the impact and the crowd and players reactions visually. That's why I love presentation.

i don't know why madden and ncaa can't get the crowd noise right for years .making the crowd bo when the away team scores and cheer when the home team scores .but at the same time the EA college bball game had a great presentation . so how can a game made in 09 have it be great but yet the to football games get untouched. thats my question to EA. game play could be better for both EA football games though .they are the the company with the most money and they need to put it to good use . hoping cam webber is doing so .
