Oklahoma defended their home court against the twenty-third ranked Trojans of USC with an overtime victory. OU led most of the way until a late flurry by the Trojans put them up 65-63 with 5 seconds to go. Senior guard Austin Johnson got fouled on a drive to the bucket with no time remaining and had to make two free throws to send it into overtime, and that is exactly what he did. The Sooners outscored USC 17-12 in OT to finish off with a 82-77 victory to move them to 4-1 on the year. USC falls to 4-2. Taj Gibson had 13 rebounds and 5 blocks down low for USC, and Daniel Hackett added 26 points. Blake Griffin had 27 points on 13 of 21 shooting and his big brother Taylor supported the cause with 8 boards. Next up OU will head to Tulsa to play their intrastate rival.
