Fanboys Aren't We All?? Lil Rant

I'm so tired of this Word and ppl throwing it around it's annoying. I mean really we are all fanboys in my opinion. Just some ppl are really immature with it I guess. So tired of XBox 360 vs PS3, Elite vs 2k, and COD vs Battlefield. Ppl act like you cant like both systems or both games grow up. What happened to buying a game b/c you enjoy it, why must you hate on other games and ppl who like other games. I like both COD and BF b/c they are both great and they are different. We are all fanboys b/c we all like something more than the other or prefer one more than the other. Im partial to PS3 b/c I like that system better, does it mean xbox 360 sucks no. Both systems are great both have pros and cons. Imo i think ps3 better but just my opinion doesnt mean im right and 360 suck so lets have flame wars. Just annoying b/c anytime I read a game review or something about either system its fanboy this fanboy that. What happened to enjoying the games and your system of your choice. Cool if you prefer 360 over ps3 or vice versa. Both system are great. COD and BF are two different games BFD ppl play what you like. Everything is opinion and preference. I say we are all fanboys b/c we all prefer one thing to another, weather be coke over pepsi, ps3 over 360, 2k over EA who care enjoy your system and games. Let other ppl enjoy their systems and game. Im proud to say im a ps3 fanboy b/c i like it the best. Guess what I like a lot of things and games on xbox 360 also but I key word is I prefer ps3 . Where did this fanboy crap come from? Its just really annoying. Sorry for my rant lol.

I think that hits the nail on the head right there. It certainly is frustrating and at times a person doesnt want to even start a conversation discussing certain games because someone might come in bashing this or that and then the next thing you know you have a huge flame war on your hands. But I dont think fanboys end with just games, its everywhere. For example, I have a Ford truck. Does that mean I hate Chevy? Not by any means. I just happen to prefer to other makes and models.

I remember reading something about this a while back and the person made a good point. He explained how some people become so attached to their possessions that they become an extension of themselves and feel that they must defend that thing as if they are truly defending themselves. He went on a bit more about it but thats what stuck with me. Anyway, I agree, the fanboy-ism gets annoying!

Too darn true man. I love Coke over Pepsi, I prefer Ford over Chevy and Xbox over PS3 but, I have nothing negative to say about Pepsi, Chevy, or PS3, heck I will play PS3 anytime I am at a friends who has one and while there if he offers me a Pepsi guess what I will drink it. Think about it people we always say competion makes things better and then when we have it we use the term "fanboys" just because someone likes the other product......did you even play the other game or are you just assuming that your favorite game is better.
