As I said I dont care if it's 2k i would prefer 2k b/c based on their track record I know the game would be realistic and great imo! I feel EA needs some competetion and we as consumers need more than one choice. Only thing I agree with in your statement is best Graphics today EA never disappoint on a graphics layer. But hey if you have no problem with horrible line blocking and fb blocking, you have no problem with db going thru wr's to get interception than by all means enjoy the game. I have moved on thats why I dont buy madden. i dont complain about the contract any more bc i know they will keep it. But I as a consumer dont have to accept a half done product. Im not about bashing madden that if 2k put out crap i would just say its better. I want a football game that represents the game of football not this crap EA drops every yr. 2k put out all pro football 2k8 and i think its still tons better than madden besides graphics. Look at the wr/db interactions in that game, look at line blocking and how a pocket looks when you go to pass a ball, look at the beauty of dbl team blocking in that game. Does it have flaws of course it does every games does. but i'll be damned if it doesnt have the basics and physic correct in that game. Glad you can enjoy the game and you had to be kidding about the commentary being great that part was a joke right. Ya i see your a madden fanboy. To those who say they see close games every time, I don't. Last game, was a 36-0 win. I've lost by 2 scores. Of course, some have been close and I've been both on the win/losing end of them. I've had defensive fights, shoot outs, etc.

Yes, there are issues that need to be addressed and should have been addressed. From the stupid like the FA limit at 280 players to the more significant like the UDFAs and how the system messes up their own roster management AI.

But, no, I don't think Madden is trash, worthless, etc. I'm enjoying the game as I try to mitigate the bs that does exist with sliders as much as I can while still getting something of a challenge/Any Given Sunday feel. It won't be perfect, it won't be like the game on TV, but that doesn't mean I can't mitigate some of the bs.

But *shrug* I guess I'm part of the problem because I don't constantly talk about how Madden is horrible or go 5 years between versions (I got 10 and now 12, skipping 11).

Was i wrong in saying that we expect too much? This may have been taken out of context. Gamers like Jamake and I know what Madden is capable of on next- gen engine specs. We see it in other titles constantly repeated on here. When i said "we expect way too" much meant we keep thinking we will get a real football sim, but we don't. Madden is arcade style at best and some people are ok with that, i dig. True football heads know Madden has not been good since '04 and '05. Now let's keep it 100 on commentary: Real Madden heads know commentary was not that exciting when Al Michaels and John Madden were doing it back in the day and now we have been cursed with Chris Collinsworth commentary? Stab me in the ears ith a plastic spork! Gus Johnson brought some excitement back to commentary, but it gets bland too quick. Commentary in Madden should switch up based on locale, day of week game is played, and how high caliber game is. There should be commentators that we don't know by name and voice, but get familiar with them because we play a team in a different area we are not familiar with. Authenticity is all Jamake, myself, and many on here want. We are tired of getting let down and settling for an unfinished, false advertised game. @ F0rl3fclov3r this game is far from G.O.A.T status. Too many flaws that should have been fixed, but trust me the devs knew about em. Madden could be a dimepiece, but it would take at least a 2 year hold term to fixed the bugs and flaws. Money and contracts to the release date won't allow that, so this is what we will get every year. Trust me when I tell you, if 2K had a 2012 version, Madden would have yanked their title like NBA Elite did vs. NBA2K11. Not a 2K fanboy here, but truth is if 2K kept making football with the NFL license Madden would have been rejected like a hot fart in a car with the windows up long ago. Competition means everything with sports titles, believe it. That's why NBA2K, MLB The Show, FiFa, and NHL series go soo hard. They know if they don't come with the heat they will fold like NBA Elite had to.

They call us fanboys b/c hate it or not but 2k puts out the better product...excuse us for supporting a company and like them better b/c their product is more accurate and true to the sport i play and see on tv. @KBLover I dont think your part of the problem like you said you skipped 11 and etc...if you working with sliders and trying to enjoy the game more power too you nuttin wrong with that. I can say season ticket is well worth the $25.00 bucks. You get to play the full version of all the EA games for 3 days. Well, it was worth it for Madden. I played it for about a day and said screw this. I play Hockey and bought it on release.

Don't blame the gamers for 'setting their expectations too high.'. Blame EA for making a mediocre product year after year. We're not even gonna mention all of the bugs/glitches that they allowed to be in the final build. I suppose that is our fault too? How dare we demand there be little or no bugs/glitches. Man, I'm no Madden fan at all....I tried to play it BUT it ain't happening..... The game just flat out sucks....there's not even one part of the game I can actually say I like...I thought Superstar Mode would be nice....boy was I wrong....Boring, Broken, Bad....I don't even bother playing online Madden games....I tried franchise mode....yes, this is what I'm looking for right here....I havent played franchise mode in years....I know it's gonna be great.....WRONG again....... I can't get past the commentary in the game....it's HORRIBLE....they say the same thing over and over....and some things they say when they shouldn't....how do I get a pick 6, and the commentary says the "He goes for the pick and gives up a big gain" line...not the exact words but u guys know what I'm talkin about.....I'm getting angry by just typing about the sorry excuse of a football game....Year in and year out EA tricks so many people....we as gamers need to stand up, speak out and quit buying the crap.....Madden 10 was the last Mafden I bought....sold it 2 days later to a guy on my friends list for full price (poor guy)....before that it was Madden 06.....I thought Madden would be sumthin....I was wrong....I felt like I wasted my money on that game and it would be my last time....at first I thought it was because I was a 2k fan....na, that's not the case....Madden just sucks.....how terrible is it when every year Madden gets compared to 2k5.....and 2k5 is the prefered choice......I would say get it together EA....BUT there's nuthin I can do to win me over or get one penny outta my pocket......Sorry about the long rant, post or whatever u wanna call it....

Um. I gave up playing against the AI except for practice in the 90's. On all sports games.

You can always cheat the AI. It's AI. Unless it cheats most of the time your going to find a way to win.

It's 2011. Get online and play someone. A real person.

Far as NBA2k. I guess you guys have found your holy grail. A game that has AI so good you don't have to come out your room to get a good game.

Yet I would take this year and last year Madden over NBA2k11 when it comes to playing real people.

Online it was terrible. The animations took way to long to complete. Far as playing human competition it was the worst NBA2k released on the next gen.

@blackrome I agree nba 2k11 wasnt that great an online experience for me could of been better. More often than bad i had great lag free realistic games tho. I dont think madden online is much better b/c ppl cheat and use madden weakness against you. Me and my friend play online alot and hate it bc we both play sim football but hard to do when blocks suck and passes that should be caught get intercepted b/c our db goes through the wr, and yes we expericence that alot every game. I have had good realistic fun games on madden online also. But yes i play offline more i love doing franchises. And of course 2k11 had its a.i problems as all and any game will but from what i read and seen 2k12 addressed a good amount of those problems. Madden cant address any of the same problems they have been having this entire gen. madden online sucks also and nba 2k11 wasnt great online but it was a lil better imo.

I agree for the most part with all the comments here Madden 12 is better but once you dig deep its the same ole game with subpar gameplay and unrealistic AI. I dont think the answer is a boycott but.. WHAT IF we all got on 2K to make another football game..i know they cant use the NFL Licenses but they can use old retired players and they can use the LIKENESS of NFL players. Now dig it what is that we really want 1- gameplay, 2- graphics 3- presentation 4- online gameplay and 5 - real AI, now of course we have all that in NBA 2k we understand that but all 2K has to do is make a engine and a football game with all those things and add all the customization that we ALL really want. A football game with fantastic gameplay good graphics with a RPG feel....For example you pick up the game your boys have started a league,,lets say 12 to 16 team slots. you sign in, either you create your team(colors,stadiums,logos,sounds etc) and then draft players or you pick a pre-created team with a full roster. now players have different abilities for example strong arm, accurate mobile or jump high, good in coverage man to man versus weaknesses tendency to throw into coverage or bad in zone coverage...but as you play and accomplish things you can improve your players by practice or offseason camp. Also there are styles of gameplay like balanced attack, air attack, heavy ground game or west coast versus blitzing, 4-3, 3-4 or multi D. Now you add in that it has some fantasy aspects to it like maybe you have a keeper league, where only certain players can stay on a team from season to season and a waiver wire for during the season to add or drop players..have the stats and news for YOUR league scrolling on the bottom of the screen as well as halftime shows and end of the game and week shows...now every off season a new set of players is generated you have some time to do scouting and then u draft make your cuts look at who improved or got worse and set your line ups for the next season...Now remember we are talking a new engine and we want excellent graphics that 2k gameplay and BACKBREAKER physics...now here is the other thing there has to be 3 versions PC PS3 and Xbox 360 now i know the economy is bad but if we really want this to work there has to be a fee maybe lets say like eve online or phantasy star not much lets say for you to be in control of up to 5 teams it cost you $10 a month or $75 a year BUT you only have to buy the game once, all else is through updates and addons and to off set some of the cost, let 2k sit down with nike, addidas and reebok etc and put their equipment in the game as well ads on billboards throughout the stadium.. in addition have popups of tv shows that are coming on or pepsi and coke commercials. then as a owner I can have ads in my stadium which earns me money for my franchise as well.... (likemlbtheshow) now if a owner screws up or cant pay the AI takes over til a new owner comes along...use technology to have real updated weather for each game, injuries, real time stat tracking and all time records kept for each league, playoffs, conf champs games and then a final champs game.......

According to the beginning of your post, you would be one of those Jordan fans that would claim he was the GOAT even if Kobe had more rings, awards, clutch shots, etc. Madden was here first (like Jordan) then 2K came (Kobe in this case) and you are still talking about how Madden is great. Do ya see where ya went wrong there?

Oh and best gameplay and best COMMENTARY?!?! You have GOT to be kidding about the commentary. They say the EXACT same thing, EVER SINGLE GAME. It's not dynamic, it's not anything but boring. Gus Johnson and whatever the other guy's name is, are THE worst commentators in video games.... and real life. Madden's gameplay is also quite stale and boring. I won't be buying anything from EA Sports for a LOOONNNGGG time.
