Is there some kind of secret to FA in The Show? Because I'll have plenty of room in my budget to sign 2 or 3 highly ranked players, high 80s, low 90s. I offer them quite a bit more money then the rest, but they almost always sign with the "2nd choice" which means they leave a lot of mney on the table. I offered one guy 75 mil over 5 years, it was close to 16 a year. But then he signs with the Indians for around 37.5 mil. Umm... what?

I have the Royals so I went to offer Billy Butler an extension. He declined the qualifying offer, fine. I offered him 11 mil over 5 years with a club option, almost a million more than he asked for, and yet he signs with the Astros for 30 million less. It is so freaking annoying!

And a lot of times, when re-signing someone, you give them the exact offer they want, maybe even a little more, and yet, they still aren't that interested.
Can someone explain this to me?
