MLB The Show Sliding

So I'm having some trouble when I have a guy on first and I hit what can potentially be a double play ground ball. For one, the guy running to second won't slide the way I tell him to (outside or inside to try to force a bad throw), he usually just slides straight. But when I do this, my batter who is running towards first will also slide, like 99.9% of the time and it can sometimes lead to injury. Is anyone else having this problem? I try to use the LS to point to the baserunner so he is the only one that slides but it doesn't work and he still won't angle his slide.
