With the return of the Hornets, 2K now NEEDS a TeamBuilder feature
Posted on May 19, 2013 at 07:03 PM.
With the news of the Hornets name coming back to Charlotte, I think this would be the best time for the 2K team to implement a TeamBuilder feature to the NBA series.

During a franchise you could use it to change a mascot name, colors, jerseys etc. or to relocate a franchise, if you want to go ahead and move the Kings to Seattle. The Clippers out of LA, whatever you want, the possbilities are endless. But if you do these things, there has to be a season in between so the league can "get ready." Fans can react to the news of a team moving or a mascot change. The only thing you wouldn't need a season in between for would be a color or logo change, like what the Bobcats did this past year.

I personally, would change my Bobcats to Hornets (obviously), Utah to the Bobcats or Cougars, New Orleans to the Jazz, move the Kings to Seattle and the Clippers to Kentucky (I really think that state deserves an NBA team). Maybe even change the Lakers to the Stars or something else but definitely something more relevant to Los Angeles.

I've mentioned this feature a lot, but would anyone else out there want to see 2K use something like this?

Yes, they did. But what he's talking about is now that New Orleans has gotten rid of the Hornets name, the Charlotte franchise (Bobcats) are starting the process of possibly taking the old Hornets name.

No he says he would change the name of New Orleans to the jazz

Yeah, if I were playing NBA 2K and they had TeamBuilder I would change their name to Jazz because the Pelicans name sounds stupid to me.

The main thing that keeps me from using any Team Creation feature is typically how generic the customization options are. NCAA teambuilder did well by letting you upload logos but unless a sport game gets down to some Forza-like design, it's probably something I'll never use. I wish the ultimate team modes allowed the same

That's what I'd like to see. Being able to create logos, colors, jerseys, arenas, courts, and rosters online. I think that would be the only way to go with it.
