MLB: The Show, in my opinion, is the best sports game out. (I do kind of miss fixing stadium prices, ticket prices, buying more seats, etc., etc., because it was just more to do off the field and kept the game fun to me. BUT, there are a few things that I think need to be adjusted/fixed for a future patch.
1. The pitching seems to be very inconsistent. What I mean is, sometimes when I'm pitching (I use Pulse Pitching), I'll have the circle as small as it can be, and the pitch will miss it's intended area by 2 feet or more, sometimes even resulting in a wild pitch or something down in the dirt. Sometimes the circle will be as big as it can be and I'll throw a strike. It should ALWAYS be, the smaller the circle, the more accurate, the bigger, the more inaccurate; not just most of the time.
Also, I was pitching with Barry Zito the other day and I had trouble with his curveball. If I started it too low, it was in the dirt. If I raised it just a hair from the previous pitch it would hang or be thrown way too high.
2. Fix the follow-through for one-handed swing follow-throughs. They look different in-game from what they look like on the edit player. The only player that I know that holds his follow-through that high and pauses for that long, is Matt Kemp and he only does it when he is certain he hit a HR. I also don't like the other one-handed follow through that you see occasionally when a player hits a grounder when he lets go of the bat almost immediately after making contact. Find the happy median.
3. This may be more of a next year thing, but if possible, get a deal done with nike so we can have nike shoes and accessories, it seems kind of dumb to only have the nike logo just for an undershirt.
4. Baserunning animations still seems to stiff, needs to be more flowing and natural.
5. The jerseys seem WAY too bulky.
The last 3 things may be more of a wishlist thing for next year, but I just thought about them, so I figured I'd write it down while I was thinking about it.
