Charlotte Hornets and Seattle SuperSonics

So with New Orleans changing their nickname to the Pelicans, it opens the door wide open for the Charlotte Bobcats to change their name back to the Charlotte Hornets. As a proud member of the Bring Back the Buzz movement, I am more than ecstatic by this news.

Also, since the Kings have been sold to a group from Seattle, it opens up the possibility of them moving to Seattle and becoming the Seattle SuperSonics. I'm excited by this and I'm not even a fan of theirs. Seattle deserves to have their team back, the have a great fan base that always shows a ton of support.

I'm happy because it brings back, at least a little bit, of the golden days of the NBA (the 90's). It takes me back to when I was a little kid with all of my Hornets stuff in my room, watching Glenn Rice, Larry Johnson, Muggsy, Zo, Dell Curry, etc.

Not to mention the unique color scheme that would come with both of those teams, there are too many teams in the league with almost the same color scheme or use a lot of the same colors. But c'mon, Purple and Teal with Charlotte and then the Green and Yellow with Seattle, that's just awesome. I just can't explain how truly awesome this all is and how excited I am.

Now we just need some rule changes (or take some of them out completely) and the NBA can get back to where it used to be when Jordan, Bird, Magic, etc. were in the league. But that's a topic for another day.

I am immensely excited about the possibility of the Charlotte Hornets coming back. The first NBA game I ever went to as a kid was with my brother-in-law and it was a Hornet/Cavs game in Charlotte. I also am happy(wouldn't say excited but happy) that the sonics may return.

However one thing about this irritates me, and the bad thing about it is it's the only thing guaranteed to happen. Why on earth would you change your name to the Pelicans? I mean really? Sounds like something out of a kids book. Yeah you're really going to strike some fear in your opponent, oh no you mean we have to play the Pelicans in the first round? HAHAHAHA

Haha I know what you mean, but I think eventually people will get used to it. I mean, Seattle has the Seahawks and Pittsburgh has the Penguins, and those aren't very intimi****** either. It's all about the roster, and that's what the Pelicans are going to need to work on... as well as the Hornets and Sonics lol
