Chances of CH 2K13?

I think this was the year that EA's NCAA license ran out, I was just wondering if anyone had heard or read any info about there possibly being a College Hoops 2K13 next year?

PS. What are chances 2K tries for an NFL or possibly even and NCAA football game next year?

No 2k nfl game which means no college football 2k game either. EA still has the license for another year or 2. Renewed a year bc the nfl lockout. and I doubt there will be a college basketball from either next year either but never know

I would love to see a college hoops game. I am curious about the NFL license though. Natural Motion(Tackle Alley/Backbreaker) secured NFL licensing to make a game for mobile devices because of a loophole. I wonder if EA's NFL license extends to PC games, considering they dont make one? Just a thought.

hey love this lancer... why would it necessarily mean that because 2k is not making an NFL game, that they will not make a college football game? Don't you think it would be to their benefit to make a college game if they could so they could gauge customer response to decide if they want to purchase the NFL license next? Bc if they secure the NCAA license for a couple of years and kill it w the college license, and their games are better than anything EA can put out, they'd have a serious say in the next negotiations with the NFL because they'd have a superior product.

And then if the NCAA game flops, they only had the license for two years or whatever, so they could just let someone else take it over again.

The NCAA license was not an exclusive. 2K stopped making College Hoops because it didn't sell. No exclusive licensing deal is holding 2K from making a college basketball game.
As much as I'd love a new CH's game, I'm not holding my breath.

Oh okay, thanks Retro, didn't know about that. That sucks though, and this would have been the perfect year to start it up again with how long the lockout went. Oh well... still holding out hope every year.

I would really love to see 2K jump back into the world of NCAA. The article on the main page is right, the release date for college basketball game really hurt the sales. While I prefered the old November release dates, the game would sell better with a late February release. The general population only really gets interested in college baskeball during March Madness. Start the marketing machine in mid January and ride the build up through the tournament. Kind of like releasing a tennis game in the lead up to Wimbledon or the U.S. Open. People who have ****** interest get caught up in the events and may be more inclined to by a game.

That's true. That would be a good plan for them (though for the die hard fans of NCAA basketball, like myself, would hate it lol).

Oh I'd having to wait too but if waiting a few months means the game gets made, I'm up for it.
