The Brooklyn Nets are ready to get the 2018-19 NBA Season under way. For the first time in a VERY long time, the future is not... dark. It's not shining, but there is an oppurtunity this year that the Nets will be able to have their own lottery draft pick after the disastrious Billy King era which saw the loss of many lottery picks to the Celtics and Hawks for aging stars Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Joe Johnson.

Lets take a look at the roster & depth chart for the upcoming season.

"I am unbelievably excited to get back to the postseason this year, we've certainly got the talent to do so. I think that this team is almost a no doubter to make the World Series this year." those were the words of Royals all-star outfielder Alex Gordon, who seems very confident in the teams talent. The real questions fans have, that cannot be answered until this ball team hits the field though, is simply: How will the starting rotation look? The team lost James Shields to the Padres this offseason, and lack a true ace in that rotation. Will vet Edinson Volquez step up? or will it be talented young gun Yordano Ventura?

Manager Ned Yost seems to think Ventura needs more character development as he didn't include him in the teams opening 25 man roster, speaking of which the team also released the Opening Day depth chart this morning:

JACKSONVILLE 16 | PHILADELPHIA 26
Sunday, the Jags were in Philadelphia to face the Eagles. They looked strong in the beginning but they showed their true colors as the game went on. The running game was week but showed flashes of potential. Blake Bortles fractured his arm during Fridays practice after a member of the practice squad blindsided him, that play has since been released. The box score is below.
