A Final Look Back at AJ McCarron's Career
Posted on January 3, 2014 at 04:07 PM.

Alabama's AJ McCarron had a career that was, without a doubt one of the greatest in college history. In 4 years, (2010-2013) McCarron's completion percentage was never below 62% and his QB rating was never below 151. In that four years he threw for 9,019 yards, making him the first Alabama QB to ever throw for 9,000 yards or more. He also had a career number of 77 touchdown passes and just 15 total INTs. AJ became a national celebrity over the past couple years due to his amazing football talent. Although that may have also been due to his supermodel girlfriend, Katherine Webb
Spoiler

(Yeah, the same one that Brent Musberger drooled over)

Not only was his career great, but so was his final season in an Alabama uniform. AJ had a career-high for completions with 226; a career-high in yards at 3,063; a career-high completion percentage of 67.3% and lastly a career-high longest pass of 99 yards.

While it was definitely AJ's most disappointing season as far as wins and losses go, it was still a year to be rembered as he won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, the Maxwell Award, and was the runner-up for the Heisman. AJ will truly be missed at Alabama by all the fans.

However, it is time to look forward for AJ as he prepares for the NFL draft. There isn't a clear-cut sign as to where he will be drafted but his play and leadership this season will definitely improve his draft stock.
