Now that I’ve played 5 games, playing through my Phillies starting rotation, it’s time to rotate to a new user controlled team for 5 games.

Out of the 3 other teams available, WAS, BAL, and KC, KC was 1-4 after an opening series sweep in Chicago by the Sox. The 0-3 New York Yankees paid a visit to KC looking to avenge their opening series sweep by the Orioles.

The first two games of this series were simmed, as I was still playing w/ Philly at the time w/ both teams having ... Read More

For this years game I've decided to take control of 4 teams. Two are my favorite teams from both leagues, and the other two are two teams which should provide me a challenge in rebuilding. I've decided to go w/ 2 AL and 2 NL teams.

AL
Baltimore Orioles (my 2nd fav. team)
Kansas City Royals (my AL challenge)
NL
Philadelphia Phillies (fav. team)
Washington Nationals (my NL challenge)

Since my Phils are the reigning champions my overall goal ... Read More

After my failed associations w/ the Sixers and Wizards I've learned 2 lessons so far.

1. Never train your players after having played a game.
2. Remember to turn CPU trades off after the regular season.

I'm still having a lot of fun w/ this game, and I still want to run an association mode and get at least a decade deep into it.

I'm going to go back to the Suns...A team who I started an association w/ upon release day, but never went back to.

First Merry Christmas to all!

Well...its a sad day for my Wizards association. After playing 20 user games as the Wizards I decided to pack it in and sim the season out. I was 20-22 when I simmed, and finished the season 34-48.

My plan was to get into the first offseason, make a few moves, and head into the 09-10 season ready to dominate w/ a healthy Arenas and company.

Well...after working out prospects etc I decided to take a look at the 'League News' ... Read More

After being down 32-16 after one quarter of play. The Wizards got out on a 9-0 run to start the 2nd qtr, and looked alive after a dismal 38% shooting 1st qtr.

Washington pulled back into the game after strong play in the 2nd qtr, and finished down at the half by 5; 48-43. However, costly turnovers prevented them from ... Read More

Optimism for Wizards Still Running High

Although I'm currently saddled w/ the 2nd worst record in the league through 24 games @ 9-15 I'm only 8.5 games back in the East.

I've got Gilbert coming back by early/mid January, and with him back in the lineup that will open up a whole new game for me.

Having Caron Butler out for my last 5 games has actually helped me offensively.

Eddie Jordan has been fired after a subpar record 16 gms in (6-10), and that embarrassing home loss blow-out to the Lakers 124-100 to go to 6-11.

Interim coach Alexander Gooden takes over to finish the season.

His ratings:

Offense = F
Defense = C
Teacher = F
Potential = B

I basically couldn't hire a better coach due to budget restraints, and Gordon was the 'best' available since I ... Read More
