Game 2

Philly needing to strike back after a dominant performance by Milwaukee sent Chan Ho Park (1-1) to the bump vs Jeff Suppan.

VS.

Both SP's retired the side in order in the 1st. However, in the T2nd C. Park ran into a little trouble after Corey Hart knocked a solo shot for MIL's 1st run, and a few batters later, w/ men on 1st and 3rd and 1 out, Suppan got a perfect SAC bunt down to score the runner from 3rd on a squeeze. Milwaukee's 2-0 lead would get cut by 1 as Ryan Howard went yard on the first Suppan pitch of the bottom of the 2nd. Fast forward to the 5th, and Philly would end up tying the game after a Shane Victorino double scored Jimmy Rollins from 2nd.

Ryan Madson came on in relief in the 8th and pitched a scoreless hitless 2 innings striking out 2, and bouncing back from a very poor outing the day prior. Lidge would relieve Madson for the 10th - his first outing since a BS vs SD, where Adrian Gonzalez solo homered to tie the game. His struggles didn't stop there as a costly error by Raul Ibanez lead to a run for MIL to break the tie, and then back to back doubles by Braun and Fielder would give MIL a 4-2 lead heading into the B10.

Trevor Hoffman, who recorded the final out of the 9th, came on in the 10th for the save. Victorino leading off the B10th, would get the rally started w/ a single up the middle. Utley, 0-4 up to this point, continued his struggles on the day as Hoffman sat him down for the first out of the inning. With a man on first Hoffman elected to pitch to Ryan Howard, perhaps trying to induce a DP to end the game. This would prove to be a fatal mistake as Howard crushed a fastball low and away to right-center for a 2r HR that tied it up. With only one out, and a rattled Hoffman on the mound Philly would get 3 more hits off Hoffman for the win.
