Phillies fall to Brewers in gm 1 of Series

Game 1

Trying to continue the winning streak, and extend it to 6 W's in a row Philly sent Jamie Moyer (2-1) to the mound vs Dave Bush.

VS.

Moyer sat down MIL in order in the 1st, and Chase Utley quickly got Philly on the board w/ a solo shot to RF for his 4th HR on the season. Moyer would have a no-hitter going thru 4 innings until Bill Hall singled to RF. No damage would be done to Moyer or the Phillies until the 6th inning where Mike Cameron led off w/ a solo shot to LF, Hardy doubled, and then Braun smacked a 2r HR to left-center. Moyer would get pulled after 6.0IP having. The bleeding wouldn't stop there though, as Ryan Madson became MIL's next slugging victim. Cameron and Hardy went back to back to start the 8th, and before Madson's day was over MIL had manufactured 3 more runs on 5 hits to extend their lead to 8-1. That would be the final in this one as Dave Bush was magnificent in 7.0IP, and the MIL bullpen closed the door on the Phillies in the 8th and 9th innings.
