After Joe Blanton�s dominant performance to take the rubber game of our opening series with the Braves, it was on the road for the Phillies for a 3-game series with the Colorado Rockies.

Jason Marquis took the mound, and was roughed up in the first inning as the Phillies first three batters all reached base consecutively. That meant the bases were loaded for Ryan Howard, and with a chance to bust this game wide open in the first inning Howard hit a deep fly ball which would score Jimmy Rollins from 3rd on a SAC fly. Jayson Werth, Philadelphia�s hottest hitter to start the season, who has seemed to take the 5th spot in the order by the reigns, got things really going as he sent a double to the RF gap on a 3-1 pitch; scoring Victorino and Utley. Werth would be left stranded though as Marquis settled down and was able to strike out Ibanez and Feliz. The damage was done though, as Marquis gave up a 3-run 1st inning and tallied 34 pitches. Colorado struck back though as Troy Tulowitzki sent a low and away cutter of Jamie Moyer�s in the RF bleachers, PHI 3 - COL 1 after 1.

Marquis was pulled in favor of lefty Franklin Morales after walking Victorino w/ two outs and throwing 65 pitches through 3 and two-thirds IP. Morales came on to pitch to Utley w/ two on and two out. Utley singled in Carlos Ruiz from 3rd, and Victorino advanced to 3rd but was unable to score as Brad Hawpe got the ball in quickly; PHI 4 - COL 1.

Moyer was working both sides of the plate w/ his cutter and circle change, and although he did allow 9 hits over 6.0IP he was very much in control of this one, only giving up one other run after a Clint Barmes single, where he stole 2nd, and then was driven in on a Ryan Spilborghs double to the LF gap; PHI 4 - COL 2.

Philly added 3 more runs of the manufactured variety over the 8th and 9th innings w/ doubles by Ryan Howard and Raul Ibanez.
