Wizards Dominate 4th Qtr; Cruise to Win over Bobcats

The Wizards outscored Charlotte 29-16 in the 4th qtr to take a much needed road win in Charlotte w/ a 94-86 victory.

Nick Young turned his 2nd straight 30 pt performance finishing w/ 36, and Antawn Jamison produced another double double finishing w/ 26 & 11.

DeShawn Stevenson had an off night shooting 4-17 and finishing w/ only 11 points; his lowest scoring game since December 6th...where he finished w/ only 3 points in a loss to Chicago.

Mike James and Javaris Crittenton would make their Washington debuts in the 1st half, but w/ the Wizards finishing the 1st half down by 11 head coach Alex Gooden went with mainly a backcourt of Stevenson and Young in the 2nd half.

Caron Butler Returns From 6 gm Absence to Lead Washington over Cleveland

Caron Butler lead the Wizards to perhaps their biggest win of the season w/ a road win in Cleveland to improve to 11-16 and win their 2nd road game in a row.

Butler would finish with a season high 39 points, and play all but two minutes.

He would also hold Lebron James to a season low 15 points on 7-19 shooting.

However, Cleveland kept in close w/ great performances from Big Z who finished w/ 29 & 16, and Terrence Kinsey who hit 6 3's to finish w/ 21 points.

Mo Williams and Delonte West would also finish in double figures.

Antawn Jamison had his second double double in a row finishing w/ 20 & 15. Nick Young and DeShawn Stevenson would both add 16 and 15 respectively.


Wizards cruise to 3rd Straight Win with Win over Thunder

Washington routed OKC through 3 qtrs leading by 22 to start the 4th, 90-68, and would go onto to beat the Thunder by 14 - 109-95.

Butler turned in another solid performance finishing 1 rebound and 4 assits shy of his 1st triple double of the season - He scored 28 points in 40 minutes of action.

Durant would also score 28, and Earl Watson and Westbrook would finish w/ 14 and 11.

Young, Stevenson, and Jamison each finished in double figures w/ 17, 17, and 16.

Washington now shifts focus on their next opponents. The Houston Rockets who they play on the road.


Wizards Outlast Houston to win in O/T

The Wizards win another tough road game, w an O/T thriller in Houston.

Jamison scored 31 and Caron added 30 as the Wizards find a way to stop the Rockets in another big win.

Deshawn Stevenson also finished w/ double figures w/ 26, and Javale McGee turned in another double double w/ 12 & 15 w/ 3 blocks.

After Antawn Jamison fouled out w/ 1:55 left to play in O/T Houston cut the Washington lead to 1 pt, but Rafer Alston fouled DeShawn Stevenson w/ Houston in the penalty and Stevenson would extend the Wizards lead to 3 pts - which would be all Washington would need to extend their win streak to 4 games.

Yao Ming missed some big shots over the final two minutes, and Rafer Alston's 3 pt attempt w/ 6.6 seconds left would miss off the front of the rim.

Washington improved to 13-16.
