Wizards Involved in Another 3-Team Trade

After shipping out Antonio Daniels in a 3 team trade which returned the Wizards Mike James from New Orleans and Javaris Crittenton from Memphis. The Wizards were back at it again, involved in another 3 team deal which would land Phoenix Jason Richardson from Charlotte. The Wizards sent Olesiky Pecherov to Charlotte for their 2008 1st rd pick Alexis Ajinca. Pecherov has a 1 yr team option left, and the Wizards who are deep at PF, had stated early on that one of their big man would be on the move this season.

Ajinca, 20 yr old 7' from France, and is still very much a project, but the upside is there.

Pecherov had improved greatly over this past season, but even w/ injuries to the frontcourt he was unable to see any significant time on the floor.

Charlotte, who doesn't plan on re-signing Sean May after this seaon, said that Pecherov would immediately become the back-up to Boris Diaw - acquired from Phoenix for Richardson - in 2009-10.
