Thanksgiving football traditions... time for a change???

Okay I love US Thanksgiving NFL Football just as much as everyone else. However, for the past five or so years having to watch Detoit has been a bit too much to deal with. Detroit fans and traditionalists... before you yell at me, hear me out.

I realize Detoit and Dallas on Thanksgiving is tradition but just because it has been done in the past doesn't mean it should continue into the future. I for one would love to see the teams mixed up on Thanksgiving. Let's see the Eagles vs. Redskins in the morning and the Raiders vs Chargers in the afternoon. Let's see the Dolphins in New Orleans or the Packers in Denver. Let's see some new rivals... and most importantly, some great football!

Traditions are great but some traditions need to be let go. Watching the Lions get smoked every Thanksgiving is a tradition I'm okay letting go.

Oh c'mon! The Lions finally sold out a game in their stadium and now you bash them?? Just kidding of course, but the Raiders wouldn't be too much better. I like how there is now a Thursday NIGHT game (making it 3 games on Turkey Day), but I can't watch that because it is on the NFL Network. Maybe change the Lions to the NFL Network and show the Eagles and Cards on FOX.

I can think of few things better than watching the Lions get beat up. Takes the heat of my Bills for sucking for so long. Yeah, these traditions are a little outdated
