GAME REVIEW
Charlottesville, VA-Virginia Head Coach Mike London knew this was a big game for his Cavaliers, he had been preaching that to his players ever since spring practice back in March. His players, obviously got the message. His comments after the game "This was a big win for us, we needed to start this year off right and that's exactly what we did, I couldn't be more proud of my players and coaching staff"
On offense, Virginia was very successful. First year starting QB David Watford finished the day 13-15 passing with 1 TD and no interceptions. RB Kevin Parks carried the offense all day, rushing for 144 yards and the game winning score. QB David Watford said after the game "We needed this win, the fanbase needed this win..and we got it for them"
The defense was led by Henry Coley who had 12 tackles on the day, including 3 for loss and 1 sack. Senior DE Jake Snyder led the team with 3 sacks.
