Brett's Rants'
Posted on July 15, 2010 at 05:05 PM.
So i've decided to come up with a daily blog for some issues I have. I'm new to this whole blogging thing, and I don't look to offend someone, Sorry if I do. I do need feedback, so if you like it then I will keep it going.

The main topic for today is " The Price of Gaming."

Recently, with all this New Xbox 360, Microsoft Kinect, iPhone 4G, Playstation Move, etc, talk, everyone is getting excited for these to be released but many have not thought about the hit the ole wallet will take.
With the economy today, game developers and still pricing games at $60 a pop, not to mention the systems, DLC's, accessories, and other things. The big 3 (Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo) are making an absolute killing off the average person.

We all know that if you know anything about gaming, you play video games throughout the week. If you play quite a bit, then you eventually get bored and want to buy a new game or a new one comes out. If you get a new game everyone 2 months your spending roughly around $400 bucks a year. Unless you have a well paying job or are just fine then it takes a toll on peoples' wallet. I'm personally and avid gamer and I wish some prices on things will be lower. The Big 3 have been trying to by putting deals like the new Xbox with a 250 GB harddrive and no red ring. Personally, I will continue playing my video games until, I can't.

The 2nd topic of the day is "GameStop." I AM SORRY IF YOU WORK OR REPRESENT GAMESTOP, BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE TOLD. So the other day I went to Gamestop to trade in games. I traded Red Dead, Madden 10, NCAA 10, and NHL 10. Now, I was thinking I won't get much for the games because a couple were old and what not, I just wanted $60 to get the new NCAA. The guy scanned the games and said $46 dollars of credit. I was like are you freaking kidding me. I'm getting $46 of credit for games that I payed roughly around $180 for all 4 of them. Then I walked over to pick out NCAA 11 and saw Red Dead on the shelf there "Used" price for Red Dead $49.99. I was enraged. First, the scam me out of money and then the up the price about 5x for what they gave me. Granted, I know Gamestop has a business to keep going but seriously taking it out on the little guys. I have now been selling them at like my garage sale, ebay, amazon, or to friends.

Those are my rants for today, I need Feedback for tomorrow's rant. I cannot stress how sorry I am if I have offended you in anyway.
