New Coach Takes Over Wycombe

Backstory:

After 7 years as an assistant, Coach Chris Wumpus will take over the Wycombe Wanderers for the 2013-2014 season. Wumpus has been told by the board that they have targeted a high league finish as a minimum benchmark for success.

Wumpus used his ties in Spain to secure what many feel is a shrewed signing addiing Sampador from Barcelona B for a fee of $350,000. Wumpus also added two striker's via loan, one from Chelsea and one from Barcelona B. While the window is still open, it appears the team has taken shape and is ready to hit the ground running.

Current Day:

The pre season was not too kind to Wycombe as they went 0-1-2 in their Friendlies and suffered two injuries that will drag into the regular season, but the mood is optimisitc as the season opener approches.
