Just thinking about this makes me feel like I'm attending a AA meeting. "My name is Matt and I root for the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings". Well...that didn't make me feel any better, but know you know where I'm coming from. Why do I do this to myself? Why do subject myself to the torment, the ups and downs, the frustration, of cheering for two teams with such hard luck. They get oh so close....then Gary Anderson misses a FG, or Alex Gonzales boots a double play. Or they hit a playoff drought. Or they lose 8 playoff games in a row.
I guess that's what make me a fan. It's something that I'll have to gladly live with. One day at a time I suppose. One day...it will happen. Hope is all I've got.
(Actually I'm as die-hard as can be about these two teams. It's just making me loony I think.)
