They can't get rid of all of them. They still have to test out the rookies and veterans who are borderline as far as making the team. They need to play in game situations so a couple of preseason games are necessary. However, I wouldn't mind if they cut the number to two and added two regular season games.

yea i think 2 would be ok... like u said they need to see how their team is looking and everything but at the same time an entire month of meaningless games is simply 2 long for me to tolerate!

I'm with you. Plus, I HATE when a big-name player gets hurt during the preseason. It feels like such a waste when that happens. I remember Jason Sehorn of the Giants shredding his knee during a preseason game and his career was never the same after that. He was on his way to becoming a great cornerback before that happened. But I guess that's the luck of the draw; you can hurt yourself walking down the street. !@#$ happens.

i think they should not. just because that would make all the players need new contracts because they wouldn't get paid for all the regular season games. and besides in pre season you get to see all the guys you learned about from playing madden!

haha yea thats true but do u really think 4 games is necessary? And as for the contracts you r right that they would have to renegotiate them and what not but thats not stuff we as fans have to worry about. I just think a longer regular season would be a little more exciting than watching backups play backups for a month.

I think they should and by extension allow for bigger rosters to handle to increase in games and limited "camp" time

well the issue with bigger rosters though is they would also have to raise the salary cap but that could be settled hopefully fairly easily. just want more actual games is all.

There should be tons of changes with the new CBA (if that ever happens).
