Yankees Slip Past Rival Red Sox

BRONX, New York (OS) - It was utter domination combined with a frustrating struggle for Yankees starter Brian Happel, who gave up 8 hits in 6 innings, but also struck out 10 on the way to his 5th win of the season.
"It's not how I drew that one up, but a win is a win," admitted Happel, who improved to 5-3 on the season and leads the American League in strikeouts with 83. "There are definitely things I can improve on, I missed a lot of spots, so that's what I'll be focusing on before my next start."
The win improves the Yankees to 26-20 on the season and moves them to within 1.5 games of the division-leading Red Sox.
