CLEVELAND BLOWS LEAD LATE, WINS IN EXTRA INNINGS

Minneapolis, MN (AP) - The Cleveland Indians haven't made things easy for themselves all season long, and yesterday was no different. The Tribe took a lead early, gave it up, pulled ahead again, only to blow it in the bottom of the ninth. But, the Indians managed to pull it out in extra innings to avoid the sweep in Minnesota, winning 8-6 in 12 innings. One of the bright spots was right fielder Brian Happel, who got the first start of his Major League career. Happel performed well at the dish, going 2-5 and drawing a walk. "It felt good to get my first start under the belt. What a game, I'm glad we were able to pull it out late! We just have to keep looking for ways to get better every game and hold on to those leads better late." The Indians come back home for a 7 game homestand, hosting Texas and then Seattle.
