HAPPEL WELL OUT IN FRONT AS FIRST ALL-STAR BALLOT NUMBERS RELEASED

Orlando, FL (AP) - With the season Magic forward Brian Happel is happening, it's no surprise he's leading all vote-getters so far. The first ballot numbers were released this weekend. Happel is well out in front with more than 1.5 million votes already. Nobody else has one million votes yet, although LeBron James has more than 900,000.

It's no secret that Happel is a fan favorite, both in Orlando and across the NBA

In the Western Conference, Chris Paul is leading the vote tally with nearly 850,000. Kevin Durant is leading among forwards, and Lakers big man Andrew Bynum is the top center in the west, so far.
