ORLANDO TAMES BOBCATS, EYE TOWARDS NUMBER ONE SEED

Charlotte, NC (AP) - In a game of runs and bad shooting, Orlando still has enough to pick up another road win, beating Charlotte 78-67. It wasn't pretty, that's for sure. The Magic had a tough time shooting the ball, making only 42% of their shots. But, if that's bad, Charlotte's performance was much worse. The Bobcats could only hit on 31% from the field, including just 3-16 from the floor. There were wild swings throughout this one. Orlando used a run in the second quarter to jump out to a 9 point halftime lead. But, Charlotte then went on a 19-0 run in the third quarter to take an 8 point lead. Orlando came storming back, going on a 27-5 run over an 8:30 span between the third and fourth quarters and never looked back.

Happel driving it hard to the rim, drawing the foul and getting the dunk

Brian Happel turned in what was easily among the top 3 performances of his career. He scored 32 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter. Happel cleaned the glass like it was nobody's business, grabbing 21 rebounds. And on defense, he was swatting Charlotte shots like flies, collecting a career-high 5 blocks. But after the game, it was the team accomplishments Happel was focuing on, "Man, it's been a good run recently, hasn't it? It's really more about winning for me, though. I can be putting up some nice individual numbers, but it means nothing if the team's struggling."

The block party was on in Charlotte, as Happel swatted away one of five Bobcat shots

Dwight Howard was also key on the offensive side, scoring 21 points. Brandon Bass chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. The guards struggled, however. Jameer Nelson, John Salmons and Gilbert Arenas combined for an awful 4-24 from the field, including 1-11 from long distance.

Happel hitting on one of his 2 three's. Happel leads the NBA in 3pt. shooting at 48%

Stephen Jackson was a bright spot for the Bobcats, scoring 23 points and grabbing 8 boards. Charlotte drops to 44-36, and is looking at a six seed in the East. Orlando holds a half-game lead over Miami for the top spot in the conference, and the Magic can take care of business on their home court, hosting the Heat next.
