Biff Below = The Future
(Jetsblog.com)

by Ryan Martin

Last season I spent all season singing the praises of one quarterback by the name of Biff Below. Now, this Below guy was coming out of Florida, and he was being touted as the biggest bust of the draft. Analysts said it would be career suicide to pick Biff Below. Funny how these last two weeks have turned out though, huh?

Now, you could make an argument over the first game about Below throwing two interceptions and whatnot. Let's keep in mind that this was his first official NFL start. He hit some snags, but overall, it was just as good a game as any game Kellen Clemens or Chad Pennington had last season. Plus, he brought us to within eight points of beating one of the best teams from last season. I'd like to point out, as well, that we were on our game-winning drive until Jerricho Cotchery fumbled the ball away, resulting in a Bills touchdown.

As far as the second game goes, though, I won't listen to any arguments. The Browns may not be a top-tier team, but that is irrelevant. Below tossed for over 450 yards and 6 touchdowns. And NO interceptions. Did you read that? None. Not even one. He found his rhythm early and simply couldn't be stopped. The Browns kept it interesting by taking us into overtime, and Vernon Gholston managed to scoop up that fumble and let Biff Below lead the game-winning drive.

Say what you will, but this guy gives Jets fans like me some serious optimism.
