New York Jets - Weekly Update #2
(Jetsblog.com)

Patriots vs Jets Recap:
Our boys in green and white put on quite a show for us this week when the Patriots came into town! Granted, it leaves a bittersweet taste in our mouth knowing that our impressive comeback in the 4th quarter reminded every Jets fan of a Mr. Vinny Testaverde and the "Miracle at the Meadowlands", but couldn't result in a Jets victory. The amount of heart our boys showed on Sunday proved to me, at least, that the Jets are just one or two small roster moves from being a nightmare to face.

Jets vs Chargers Preview:
This week's game should definitely be fun to watch as the Jets and Chargers clash horns. Both teams have potent offenses, and with the kind of performances the Jets have given us, why wouldn't we get excited for this game? Personally, I feel the running games for both sides will be unleashed for this contest. Thomas Jones was visibly frustrated after last week's game, and LT is out to prove that all of his haters are simply misinformed for considering him to be "washed up".

College Games:
All of our analysts decided this week, almost unanimously, that Biff Below would be the perfect fit for the New York Jets. We know, it's only September, but it's never too early to speculate! We've been extremely impressed him as well as Kelly James. Prince Justin and Mack Johnson really turned our heads this weekend as well. Mack Johnson fits right in with Coach McCullen's MLB philosophy of a big hitter/blitzing type of 'backer.

Closing thoughts:
Lou McCullen stood up to the most talented team in the NFL on Sunday, and almost snuck away with the victory. It's no secret that I, and many other of my collegues are not what you would call "supporters" of Chad Pennington. I can't help but be critical of his performance this week. Many weren't able to see the game televised this week, so they missed Chad Pennington's key interceptions and blunders. One might argue that when a quarterback throws 63 passes in a game, that he's bound to make mistakes and throw interceptions. Personally, I disagree. Being able to thrive when the weight is on your shoulders is what seperates the men from the boys. Chad Pennington is a boy. Lou McCullen is a smart guy, and understands that his team needs a strong-armed, strong-willed quarterback. Which is why I can say with all confidence that if this isn't Chad's last season wearing the green and white, it's certainly his last season as a starter.

J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
